If you want to change the world in a way small or large, you’re inevitably trying to overcome some obstacle that has never been overcome in that way before. There is no roadmap directly to your destination. Maybe you’re lucky, and the obstacle is simply that nobody has ever before seen what you see, and the rest will be easy, or maybe you’re battling an entrenched status quo. Sometimes partial maps from similar efforts can get you close, but the farther you have to go into the gaps, the more you have to define your vision, your objectives, and your values, and the more you need fresh eyes and creative thinking.
